Has anyone got the Givi E22 panniers fitted and if so will they take an armoured jacket?

Tried fitting handlebar muffs but they block the mirrors so ended up with 'Warm and Safe' heated glove liners and to keep it simple their jacket liner as well. Can't believe how good they are, every day's a summer day! even with the DN's limited wind protection. Also no need to remove the glove...

these bikes can suffer heat related ignition/transmission problems. firstly, has anyone been trouble free for [?] miles riding regularly in heavy/slow traffic? And secondly, what permanent fixes have worked?
