DN-01 vs Yamaha Xmax 300

All.....in a quandary deciding on a purchase of a used 2009 DN-01 @ ~$4,500 (3K miles) in perfect condition or a new 2018 Yamaha Xmax 300 @ $6,325 OTD.

Some basic info about me:
Height 5' 8" (172cm)
Weight 145 lbs dripping wet (66kg)
Riding - mostly short trips and errands (no long distance trips)

Concerns about the DN-01
-Weight and size (the bike, not me - might it be too much for me to handle?).
-Even with these low miles, all the fluids need replacing and everyone talks about all the tupperware getting in the way for service. New tires....that's 9 year old rubber. This one bullet gives me concern - could get very expensive to buy and own!!!!
-No built in storage

Pros for the DN-01
-Automatic
-Cool factor is high
-Shaft drive
-ABS (but no traction control)
-Low seat height

Concerns about the Xmax
-Might find it limiting due to its abilities over time....maybe not!
-It's 2.5 hours away from here re: purchase
-Don't seem to be selling well or available at many dealers

Pros for the Xmax
-ABS plus Traction control
-Full LED lighting and keyless functionality
-Weights less than 400lbs
-Good seat height though not as good as the DN
-Great storage capacity

Thoughts???? Anyone else had to make a choice between the DN and a scooter????

Hi, go for the xmax, for all you mention its better choice for you. More fuel ecomonic, more space for luggage, super confotable and reliable.

And I am a Dn-01 owner :) but I have YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/spitfirept ) and try lots is bikes so I kind of know what I am talking about.

Better still!

Get a Tmax, had all the other Maxiscoots and there's no comparison. The only thing that the DN offers is better stability on windy motorways, which is why I keep mine.

Eheh, yes Portuguese is the best language. But honestly the xmax 300 from 2018 in Europe has ABS,TC and all you need. You will not Be desapointed. English reviews I think I will Be starting soon. Regards spitfirept
