I have a K&N direct replacement filter, not the pod types you have shown. It works very well - a little more induction roar, but no difference in fuel economy

The K&N filter for the DN-01 is HA-6708. Looking on Ebay they are no longer a good price - double what I paid for mine, admittedly some years ago now. However you will never need another one as they are washable

Yes, you're right, but there's very little real dust on UK roads, so I'm content to take the risk. Most of what collects in my filters is the odd insect or two...
