Good morning to you all.
Any advice on changing rear pads is it necessary to remove rear wheel or can I just remove caliper. Looks an easy job but I'm just checking.

Hi Richard. The instructions for this are on pages 17-15 and 17-16 of the manual. The pads can be removed and replaced with the wheel attached. However, the first instructed task is to remove the muffler, for some weird reason, as it is not mentioned to replace it afterwards, so I would completely ignore that! The key thing, before removing the pads, is to push the caliper against the disk so that the piston is pushed in all the way. Once the pin is removed, the pads slide out to the rear of the caliper. When installing the new pads, ensure that the pad spring is correctly fitted.

Bob you're a diamond.
That's great news I'll tackle the task with more confidence now .full set of pads coming next week.i see you have been a member for a few years and are probably a font of knowledge and tips.thanks again.

hi, i can't find the minimum size of brake discs and pads, maybe you saw it?
Will you install original or analogue?

The pads have grooves in them which indicate the wear limit - if you can't see a groove they need to be replaced. Front disc should be replaced at 3.5mm, rear at 5.0mm. I've used non-original pads on the front - I can't remember the brand - there's no apparent difference in feel and stopping power, and the rear still has original

oh shit, looks like i have an unexpected expense...
I hope the summer won't be so long and I'll wait until autumn
Front 3.5mm pads 3mm rear 5.5 pads 3,5mm handbrake pads 5.5

For assistance I've attached the relevant portions from the manual
