Hmm... have you checked your air filter?... what is your mileage?... rough idling with stalling and smell of fuel, could be carbon fouling in the cylinders, caused by too rich air/fuel ratio... unburned fuel went out through your exhaust, check your oxygen sensor... maybe more info will help...
