I’m the new owner of a 2010 in perfect condition. After 700 dry miles it was laid up in a heated garage for 15 years. I’ll be replacing the tyres as a safety measure and wondered what folks recommend

I recommend you flush the brakes as the fluid is now well beyond its use-by date - and every 2 years hence forth.

Welcome to the forum. In terms of tyres, a set with a 130 front may be difficult to find, but a 120 front reportedly does the job well. I'm on my second replacement set, previously Bridgestone, now Dunlop Roadsmart IV. I managed to get them at a good price last year off ebay, the front being new and unused, but 4 years old for £75. Probably not many bargains like that, though. I would say that if the tyres are not cracked and look good, then use them to get used to the bike for as long as you're happy - I recently bought a VT500FT with tyres that are 20 and 18 years old, with one being effectively new in terms of appearance. I was going to replace them straight away, but decided to see wat they were like, and they grip just fine, so may replace them next year...

Thanks, put in a new battery and brake fluid and coolant flushed and changed, injectors cleaned.

All the comments I’ve read suggest 120 front is fine. The tyres look and perform well, I’m just aware of their age. Thanks

They're too old and may disintegrate at speed. Tit new tyres for your own safety.
